The
favorite books of Maple Street Book Shop staff are now on the shelves right
by the front door. There is a Rhoda shelf, a Becky shelf, a Carol shelf,
a Jennifer shelf, a Meg shelf, a Jan shelf, and a Kevin shelf. Rhoda's shelf
is jam-packed and stacked high because she apparently did not get enough
food as a child and believes "too much is barely enough," a philosophy
that is reflected elsewhere by the quantity of inventory throughout the
shop. Carol's, Becky's, Jennifer's, Jan's, Meg's, and Kevin's shelves are,
in their opinions, more sanely stocked and attractively arranged.
The books on these shelves are mostly paperbacks
because they fit better. You'll find fiction and non-fiction, recent titles
and older ones – the titles will change frequently. What the books
on the Staff Favorites Shelf all have in common is that we particularly
treasure them and want our customers to share the pleasure we had in reading
them.

are only a fraction of the books that we can recommend. Please ask us about
others. We also are very glad to discuss books that you've read and we've
read and we both liked. We can then figure out what to recommend along the
same lines – or different lines if you are feeling adventurous and
trusting that day. |
