   Located in a quaint shopping area, Maple Street's Old Metairie Book Shop carries both adult and children's books. Its cozy interior houses lots of new hardcover and paperback fiction, travel books, nonfiction, cook books, and books by local authors. The Old Metairie shop opened in 1986 and has become an institution in its neighborhood.
