Cindy Dike:

Cindy was born in New Orleans on December 30, 1949. She attended Archbishop Blenk High School and the University of Southwestern Louisiana. She is married with two sons. Cindy began bookselling at the Village Book Shop in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1985. She moved back to New Orleans in 1987 and worked for Mark Zumpe at Maple Street's Uptown Square Book Shop in 1988 and at the original Maple Street Book Shop the same year. She became manager of the Children's Book Shop in 1989 and partner in 1991.
