I recommend taking another surreal journey with the author who gave us The Polar Express and Jumanji.

Red Ranger Came Calling by Berkeley Breathed
    A bittersweet story about the faith of a little boy and a stranger (Santa Claus). The stranger has a little magic, but can he make the boy's Christmas wish come true? Poignant and often funny. My favorite Christmas title.
